Acoustic

Fuseco provides a comprehensive range of acoustic chambers engineered to meet all relevant ISO, IEC, and GB standards, ensuring consistent, interference-free test results across various acoustic applications.

Acoustic Anechoic Chambers

Acoustic anechoic chambers are specially designed rooms that eliminate sound reflections and external noise to create an “acoustically dead” environment where only direct sound exists. Their surfaces are lined with wedge-shaped foam or fiberglass absorbers and isolated from external vibration and noise. These anechoic wedges are sound-absorbing materials that eliminate echoes and reflections to dissipate sound energy. Acoustic anechoic chambers are crucial for precise acoustic measurement, testing auditory research and equipment calibration. Fuseco supply a wide range of specialist acoustic chambers capable of providing repeatable acoustic data free from external interference, covering all standards.

Full Anechoic Chambers

Full Anechoic Chambers provide complete sound absorption across all six surfaces (4 walls, ceiling & floor), offering a free-field environment above a specified cut-off frequency. They are ideal for high-precision acoustic measurements, product noise characterisation and loudspeaker or microphone directivity testing. The internal surfaces of full anechoic chambers are lined with high-performance absorptive materials (typically wedge-shaped foam, fiberglass, or SWAT’s advanced Metamaterial Flat Panels) and are fully isolated from external vibration. These materials ensure minimal echo and energy reflection, creating an ideal environment for precise and repeatable acoustic measurement.

Semi-Anechoic Chambers

Semi-Anechoic Chambers feature sound-absorbing walls and ceilings with a solid, reflective floor. This configuration simulates real-world conditions where equipment or products rest on a hard surface, making it particularly suitable for machinery noise evaluation, automotive acoustic testing and large-scale product development. The walls & ceiling surfaces of semi-anechoic chambers are lined with high-performance absorptive materials (typically wedge-shaped foam, fiberglass, or SWAT’s advanced Metamaterial Flat Panels) and are fully isolated from external vibration. This type of chamber is an ideal ‘real world’ environment for the precise and repeatable acoustic measurement.

SWAT Acoustic Absorber Technology

SWAT chambers feature a breakthrough in acoustic technology - the Acoustic Metamaterial Flat Panel. This innovative technology offers significant advantages over traditional wedge-shaped absorbers:

  • Superior Space Efficiency: For a 50Hz cut-off frequency, the structural thickness of the Metamaterial Flat Panel is only 40% of a traditional wedge, dramatically increasing the usable internal space of the chamber and offering a visually cleaner, more expansive environment.

  • Reduced Footprint: The ultra-thin flat panel design replaces bulky acoustic wedges, minimising chamber volume requirements and potentially lowering construction and space costs.

  • High Performance: Compared to traditional wedges and resonant absorbers of the same cut-off frequency, the Metamaterial Flat Panel is thinner, lighter, and provides consistent performance for highly targeted acoustic field solutions.

Ultimate Flexibility

The Fuseco team is proud to have designed, supplied and installed some of Australia’s largest and most challenging chamber projects. In combination with SWAT, a global leader in the design and engineering of advanced acoustic chamber systems, our combined capabilities, attention to detail, experience and obsession with customer satisfaction have become an industry benchmark. For example, clients have access to leading technologies such as the Metamaterial Flat Panel, however SWAT also provides traditional high-performance wedges, including the JPC (Gauze Wedge) and JPM (Metal Wedge) series, for specific low-budget or classic design requirements. Whatever your requirements or budget, we are happy to meet you and discuss your project.
